The legend of Charlie Snelgrove and the Kissing Rock is an old one with a new life. The opening ceremony was held on June 26, 2004, with our former Mayor Robin Brock, sealing her wedding vows on the Kissing Rock. 

The Kissing Rock is located at the Lock 7 Viewing Complex along the Welland Canal. We have thousands of visitors to the centre to view the massive ships climb the mountain in Thorold and visit the Kissing Rock and kiss for luck and happiness.

PS - it's always luckier if there is a ship in the Lock.
